User research

I will work with your subject matter experts, and where possible, your users and analytics data to hypothesise the best way to group and label information.

I'll then test the approach with your users (either in person or online) and I'll iterate until I've got it right. Depending on what I'm testing I've used:

  • desktop research
  • user research interviews
  • task based testing
  • surveys
  • journey mapping workshops
  • user stories and personas
  • card sorting exercises
  • click testing
  • heat maps.

I run engaging, productive workshops and synthesise the findings into meaningful artefacts that support development.

I work closely with your developers, testers and business analysts to ensure I'm considering all technical constraints and opportunities specific to your content management system (CMS).

I've experience working with Drupal, GovCMS, SharePoint, LiveTiles, flat HTML and various headless CMSs.
